Hi everyone I am new to the forum and was just looking for some advice on the gen 3 Camaro as I am looking to get one as a project it will be my first ever project car as I only work on my 02 impala as of now its definitely not a project though so I was wondering what a good gen 3 set up would be I do know that I want the 5 speed manual but just having trouble finding what engines would work in the gen 3 engine bay I want to thank anyone that reads this and helps out a newbie as myself haha

 

The 5 speed manual is pretty much junk if you plan on making any power,later the better on 3rd gens IMO but I'm no expert.
I'd look for a late Z28 or IROC and plan on a T-56 six speed swap or go old school 4 speed Muncie or T-10.
Pretty much any old school small block Chevy will bolt in a Z28 305-400 are all the same size block.
LS swaps are not uncommon and everything you need can be bought these days.
