Default New again, added 2011 SS to my stable

I've had a 69 Camaro SS for 42 years now, and along with my lovely new wife decided to get a fifth gen now that they are coming down in price. I'm looking for a few cosmetic items, like monochroming the bow ties and changing the "SS" to yellow, as well as finding a body color gas door to get rid of the "drove through Autozone with crap magnet on" look, but basicly leaving it as is.

Here are the new babies, wife washing the 5gen, with the 69 and my 37 low boy in the garage.

Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the forum! Really beautiful Camaro you have there! What mods exactly are you planning to do?

We have a few in mind, mostly cosmetic. I'm not a huge fan of having the same big gold tone bow tie on my car as on an oilfield truck, so I'm looking at several ideas, including blacking out the bow ties and SS emblems, painting them yellow, or replacing them with something billet or different somehow. I found a cool SS emblem that replaces the bow tie on the grille, I might get that and have it painted yellow at the same time I have the gas door painted.

The previous owner put a non-matching black plastic gas door on so I've got to get a replacement steel door and have it painted yellow.

Then there's the brakes. It has Brembo brakes, but the rotors are solid, and they squeal. The dealer might replace the pads, but if not, I'll probably get the Powerstop Z26 kit for it, new slotted and drilled rotors with carbon fiber pads. I've got that kit on the 69 Camaro, and it's very nice in both appearance and function.

The shift **** is loose, gotta figure that out, but should be simple enough.

That's it for now, but will probably get several changes over time. We love the basic look of the car, it just needs cleaned up.
