Zolius:True, and in the case of the Cobalt it says that you can't launch. It's not the driver though, it's the car. NOBODY can get those things to launch quick without some wheel hop unless they have modified the car. In the twisties they're tons of fun though.

Banks: Actually I know exactly how that race would go. My first car was a '97 Camaro 3.8 V6 auto, and I traded that in on the Cobalt SS. You would win off the line because the Cobalt can't launch. However, those Cobalts are way underrated from the factory and are pushing at least 230hp, plus it has a weight advantage (around 2900lbs) so once that Cobalt gets some traction it's gonna start gaining on you. A decent driver can easily get a 14.5 1/4 mile in Cobalt SS which is only about a half second behind a LT1 z28. Keep those races as short as possible if you want to win!

Well I've never driven or raced a normal base Cobalt, but I'm pretty sure you should smoke it.

 

if you had a 3.4 different story, with the 3.8 you should hand it it's **** on a platter. Unless the balt has a power adder.
