Whats up its taxithecat. Yeah dont ask about the name. For the longest time i have wanted a Camaro but would either not have the money or couldnt make up my mind between two and they would get sold. So the question is what year and model of Camaro should i get? I have around 8,000 right now that i can put into it and am planning on putting most of my paycheck toward my car. I would prefer a third generation model but which one? IROC? Z-28? I'm in Utah if that makes any difference. Any input from you guys would be great! Oh and if you guys hadnt guessed i want a manual transmission. HELP!!!!

 

i think the latest third gens look the best out of all the third gens. i have a 91 n its a really awesome car cheap n easy to get parts n it looks great even with bad paint haha. if i had 8k id buy a 92 25th ann. alot of them out there arent worth that much 8k find urself a nice car for less then put the rest of the money u have into makin it better or putting a manul t56 in it. its ok to take long when it comes to buying the perfect camaro but once u get it its awesome. i wish i had 8k lol good luck

 

Welcome. I suppose it depends on what you want. A third gen Iroc is a Z. Being in Utah might have some salt issues (rust) so look under the car before you buy it.

 

as you can see i'm a little new at this whole camaro thing. after i posted about the iroc or z model i did some research and found what cplthomas said. I feel real smart haha. but hey i gotta start somewhere. So lemme rephrase, do i get a v6, v8 or iroc?
