Smile Just bought my 1st Z/28

My 2nd Camaro, 1st Z/28, 1st small block; 95 Z/28 T-top, from 2nd owner, garage kept, 6 sp stick green n black, LT-1 small block. leather seats in amazing condition, but will need fr brakes soon. Came with SLP double tube intake and Hooker exhaust, and just had plugs, coils, and rear brakes done. Just got MD insp done, just lack tags. 2100 USD.

Any tips on what to check first? Manifolds dont seem to leak, window motors are fine, tops do not leak. I am hip to it needing an OBDII plug to read OBDI codes...

I am a happy boy!

Leave it alone and don't "upgrade" anything. Then enjoy it.

K&Ns on the SLP intake were dirtier than I ever got them on dirt bikes! Now clean, drive to work was smoother at low RPMs, and may be why my plugs were sooty...

EVERY vacuum line was checked/replaced and wormgear clamps added at connections. All pigtails are cleaned and dielectric greased. AIR pump fuse was blown, and hasnt popped since replacement. Checked the two 'easy' plugs and a tad dark and worn, but they can wait a little. After fill-up, 24.5mpg...

Optispark is nice and dry, waterpump age unknown but not the original. Plug wires look decent.

New end links made this Z28 handle as sharp as our '98 3800 Camaro, much more precise. OEM DeCarbons still decent, but no funds for Bilsteins anyway... This car is FE2 with a 30mm front bar and I think that is adequate.
