this may be the last time in your life that u will have a chance to do something with your dad that u can both identify with. i would think that if u are as strong willed as u sound u could make a deal that he would help when u asked and not allow him to take control of the project. kinda like, assist u in learning about cars and help when u asked. ask in advance so he can adjust to make free time that is good with u too. think of it as training for dealing with guys. good start would be to get a repair/shop manual and do some reading and learn about your car.

Welcome to the Forum. Head on over to the Tech Sections for answers to your Questions. As for parts you will want to check with Camaro Central and Rick's First Generation to get started.

Hey nikkimarie welcome and congrats on getting your 1st gen. Ah the memories......for I was a mere 18 yrs old when I got my 67. I agree with craby & would have loved to have had a dad who could have taught me more about cars. Maybe then I would have had mine longer than a yr. The guys in 1st gen are very helpful for whatever you want to know and check out my project thread....its got tons of pics. Goodluck and cant wait to see some pics.
