Thumbs up I am Back after 15 Years

I had Camaro 4th GEN 1994. in 2009 till 2013 then the war Started in Syria I had to sell it. and I have been an active member in this website, and I am thinking to come back.

I want to buy Camaro now but in Syria you do not have spare parts yet the regime fell one month ago after being under sanctions for more than a decade.

What is the advice to buy the easiest simplest Camaro 5th gen or 6th gen ? v8 or V6?
or buy old 4th gen again ?
or do not buy Camaro at all cause all pain in is ,,,,, as my 4th Gen used to give me hard times............

Appreciate your inputs. I was 20 years old now I am 35 with a family.......

I'd say buy as new as you can afford, the V8 is a wonderful and reliable engine not to mention powerful and fast not that the V6 isn't a nice platform as well.
I have a 4th gen 2001 SS, great car but some parts are getting hard to find even here in the USA.

whatever you get have a good mechanic check it out before buying. its worth the expense. 94-95 I have noticed have issues that can be a pain to deal with. 96-97 and 00-02 seem to be pretty good although like said parts can be and issue. I do like my 93 but to have some coin in it.

If you are in the US I would say it depends on what you want from the car and what your budget is. For you I assume there is limited selections. As said it is getting harder to find parts for the 4th gens. The 5th and 6th gen V6 are nice but both have some issues with the transmission. You can search the internet on what years are the most reliable. The 6th gens V6s can handle boost better than the 5th gens. You can find supercharger kits form them and make them as fast as a 5th Gen SS. That tells me they motors are strong. The 5th gen SS's are LS3 V8. A very dependable engine but not as powerful as the 6th gen LT1.
