Hey, got a couple questions!
Hi everyone, I've got a couple questions about the Camaro. I'm just wondering how good of a choice it is for a 17 year old to buy one? I'm looking into the newer models (1993 and up) and just wondering about the maintinance aspect of them. What are the difference between the camaro by years, how is the 93 different from the 94, etc.. How finicky are they? How are they on gas (the V6 model), and whats the general price or value for these. Would anyone reccamend this as something I should get. I refuse to buy something like a honda civic. I would also like to do alot of the work on the car myself, so how are they to work on?
Thanks

Wow. That is just a couple of questions. Are you a mature driver? At 17 I had a bunch of tickets and wrecks under my belt, so my insurance costs could fund a small country. The newer models are just a good as all the other years, except the 69 which is the best, I may be biased though
. If you are mechanicaly inclined they are not very hard to work on. The difference by years..... that is a good one. More specificaly 94 and 93 is easier to answer; most of the changes were cosmetic. The fuel injection was changed and the brakes were upgraded and the trany's wer connected to the pcm for more precise shifting and altitude changes. They are as good on milage as most V6's, this also depends on your driving habbits. Check the book value before buying anything, also a car is worth what someone will pay, the book value is a general guideline.

I am a mature driver, most of the time. Sometimes I need to give the car a little loving though, you know what i mean. I am doing auto class right now and by the end of it I should be pretty well informed. Then the next year I'll be taking a double period auto class again where I should be very well informed and then I'm going to college to become a mechanic. So I'm basing my life around cars lol. And any car would be hard to work on if your not mechanically inclined. So, 1994 and up would be my best bets? Is there anything specific I should look out for in these cars when checking them out?
