Default Couple questions....

New guy here. Read a few post and thought everyone on here is pretty knowledgable and friendly so I thought I might ask a few questions. Heres the story......Wife bought a 86 camaro in what we thought was good condition. Get it home and things start fallin apart. First thing to go was the seat belt buckles. Out of 4 only 2 will hold the belt, The others the insides have fallin apart. Anyone got some they wanna get rid of? The next big thing to go was the motorized trunk catch. I closed the lid and the motor kicked on but would not pull the lid down, couldnt get it to stop, finally opened the paneling in the back and wiggled the (HOT!) motor. It went down just a bit and then shut off. Now I cant get it to do anything. I think it might be fried(?????). Next its theright blinker indicator light. At night with the driving lights on everything is fine for a bit and the suprise the car wants to make a right turn!! LOL!! It doesnt blink its just constant, along with it the RPMs (gauge, not the actual RPMs) starts climbin and the ALT indicator drops. Now I found if I dim the dash lights, which by the way are either on or off, (no dim about it!) theblinker light goes off, and if I leaveit dimmed (off) for abit and turn the dimmer back to on the blinker light stays off. For a short period of time. Anyhow, sorry bout the long post. Thanks!!

ive probably got about 6 used seat belt buckles here. Red and black i believe... Id have to look at them to tell ya what kind of condition. but i know its nothing more than a little TLC can take care of. maybe a shot of spray or something to get the color back. As for the lights dimming, check your batt and alternator. Best bet is one or the other, if not both, are going out.

You could ask a dealer if there is a recall on belts. I see a lot of them but dont know if there are any for the Camaro. It would be a safety recall and those have are good until the vehicle is fixed.
I dunno about your blinkers. Do you have some kind of alarm in it that makes the lights flash?

as far as the lights and gauge problem , you need to put a headlamp switch in it and then look for a loose or broken ground somewhere, it sounds like something is searching for a ground.
