Default Hello from Vegas

Hey guys, Nice to be here. I just picked up an 02 Z28 SS today with 8000 original miles on it owned by a gentleman in his 50s. He was the original owner since new and stored it in a climate controlled garage most of the time it is 100% stock.
I was originally planning on buying an 03-04 mustang mach 1 (I'm a ford fan) but I just couldn't resist this Camaro because of what shape it was in.
It is a 6 speed with hurst shifter option, and t tops. Ive only driven it a few miles so far and I love it. One thing I don't like is the hump on the passenger seat floor it makes sitting in the passenger seat awkward and kind of uncomfortable for any passengers. This Camaro has a build date of 06/02 I read somewhere that the last 4th gen Camaro was made on this date is that true? anyway Here are some pics.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your purchase and a deal! Great find - this SS is beautiful. Do you have any particular mods in mind yet or you plan to keep it stock?

Maybe just a couple mods but would like to keep it original for the most part. I just found out about the skip shift thing and I don't like the idea of it (haven't noticed it yet while driving) I want to be able to shift into whatever gear I want, so I ordered the skip shift eliminator harness plug in. I Was also thinking about getting the slp air box lid (is this worth it?), and maybe a cat back exhaust (stock exhaust is a bit too quiet) and that's pretty much it.

Welcome, Warren, and congrats on the SS.
I have one also, but Rita had 9800 miles when I bought her 4/2014 with a build date of 7/02.

Enjoy the ride.
Doesn't hurt to have the SLP lid.

Nice! did Rita still have the new car smell when you got her? mine still does. It seems I was mistaken after further research I found out the last Camaro came off the assembly line on august 27 2002.

I just installed the slp air box lid and skip shift eliminator. The air box lid cleans up the engine compartment nicely, that stock air box with its huge plastic silencers are such an eyesore. Seems to run a bit better as well.
I was able to install the skip shift eliminator in about 5 minutes, just needed a flat head screw driver to help unclip the sensor on the transmission as its a bit awkward to get in there with my hand.
I would like to get a cat back exhaust system next, but I don't want it to be very loud or drone. I was looking into the slp loudouth II anyone have any experience with this particular exhaust?
Also, I would like to get a stereo head unit because Id like to have bluetooth/aux input. Anyone have any recommendations for that as well? id like to get the double din size if possible to fill in the big radio hole.
