I am new to this forum I have been working on cars all my life, and I am a custom painter and have built many cars. I am starting up my own hot rod shop right now 2plus2streetrods.com. I like pretty much all cars but I got into mustangs years ago because you can get a mustang coupe much cheaper then a 69 camaro, but now that I am starting my own shop I def. need to know older chevys better then I do so I am buying a 69 camaro hopefully today. It is a 4 speed x11 car. It needs a ton of metal replacement which I want my shop to specialize in metal replacement body and paint so I will most likely just make a rolling show quality shell, because most of the work is labor and I won't have to invest thousands and thousands in mechanical parts. So is it better to go all original with an x11 car, make a clone of a rarer car or just paint it what ever and just make it nice. My paint and body work is second to none. Is it better to do the car originally, make a clone, or just do what I want painting it wise, shich do you all think will bring the most money when it is time to sell, and be the easiest to sell

all u need to know about chevy camaros are that there faster than mustangs

 

my 65 mustang has a 524 big block 4.40 gears, 175 shot a nitrous and runs consistant 8.20s and is street legal. You can go as fast as your wallet lets you it doesn't matter what brand you prefer it's just the amount you are willing to spend, that being said, a small block chevy is less expensive to build then a sbf. And around the same for big blocks.

I posted a few pics of 2 mustangs I have done, the 2 tone I did recently and the side of the blue one I painted a few years ago, I don't have many photos on this computer they are on my other computer. I bought a 69 camaro but it will have to wait to be started, i have a 71 vette I am doing, a 65 mustang that needs some mechanical work, and a 69 camaro that is coming tommorrow for door skins quarters, and fender patches, I know.
