im saying i wouldnt turbo it because your gonna get better increases for your money on other things but when you get fully built and are trying to squeeze out the last little extra bit of power go to forced induction

Factory ls1 in 315hp at crank... on 5 lbs youre looking at 415 WHP and if you at least do rods and springs, the little stuff, you can run 8 very safley and pull 500 WHP all day long.... Kits you would want to use... STS Rearmount or the APS... ive seen people run other ones and blow stuff up... the guys around me running those are putting down those numbers MIND YOU that is factory engine... not even headers or intake
I see a few problems with what you are saying. Without naming a certain size turbo, there is no way anyone can tell you how much psi to run - its about cfm, and same goes for telling me how much HP would be gained. 5psi on a t28 is not going to be the same as 5psi on a gt40. Also, the reason these people around you are making these numbers "without even headers and intake" is because you lose those when going turbo. Headers get replaced by turbo manifolds, and intake (not manifold) gets replaced by the cold side intercooler piping.

Dont take this the wrong way, but I've already said that I am looking for a 93-97 car, with a LT1....as its within my budget, and I prefer the body style that doesnt look like a Concord. Also I mentioned I have built turbo kits before and will not be purchasing one.

3) the 4l60e(auto tranny) is actually a really great tranny with a shift kit but the t56 is one of the best if not the best manual tranny
4) buy a v8 dont do the swap its very involved
5)welcome to the forum
1) No, in which case I'd go with forged low cr pistons
2) I planned on a thicker headgasket to lower cr
3) Thanks for the info, I'm in the dark concerning trannies
4) After alot of research, I agree!
5) Thanks

You asked, therefor you got our honest opinion... That alone says enough

i understand you can say exact numbers on boost but you really shouldnt run near as much boost compared to a honda or such because it is a high compression engine

i know of people running low 11s on motor alone where im at with heads intake manifold bottom end built cam and boring it out and i live in denver which is a mile high so without boring it and going forced induction you should be around 12s depending on how wild you go. i have also heard of people hooking up spray up here (100 shot) and running 13s

ok point taken that i missed that you are building at kit,,,, and those numbers are correct because both of those companies only use one size turbo.... every kit is the exact same for your specific car.... so say i did it , and then saw another turbo ls1... its the exact same kit.... same turbo piping everything so they all put down the same numbers... most of my friends have 240sx's so im not ignorant to turbos... i was telling you what i know about the camaros...
oh and btw id drive a concord for the rest of my life before id own a civic, so insalt away, im a little faster than a concord....
