I am looking for a cool camaro forum, a forum that has individuals who know what they are talking about, individuals who respect all sorts of cars, not just domestic. Individuals who don't bash someone just because they don't have a camaro, but drive something else, whether it be another sort of domestic or import.

The last camaro forum I was a member of, and I wont drop any names...was fanboy based. They bashed members if they didn't drive a camaro, and seen everything besides corvettes as garbage. There were some people there that had a great deal of knowledge, the other 99% lacked it. At this forum you couldn't voice an opinion if you didn't drive a camaro. If you did you were either warned or banned. You were called a hater and were bashed by other members while the admins/mods sat their and joined in. It is a forum that I don't really recommend, and will persuade others to not join.

I hope this forum is nothing like the other forum. I hope to gain some valuable knowledge here. I also hope to contribute to the site in any way possible and to gain some friendships along the way.

I myself love the camaro. I love the first gen the most. I love the curves, I love the front end, it is a mean looking car. I hope one day to restore a 69 Camaro SS. Paint it black, and have two white racing stripes down the center. It will definitely have to have some power under the hood. I myself do not have a camaro. I am in between a 2009 G8 GXP, a 2010 Genesis Coupe 3.8 track, or a 2009 Lancer Evolution X. I love the sound of a v8, but sometimes wonder if its practical to really have. The Genesis Coupe is a nice v6 pushing out 306hp, not bad for a hyundai. The Evo X is self explanatory because of its great track racing capabilities.

Thats a little info of what I like. Here is a little information about who I am. Name is Adam, I am currently deciding on whether to join the Coast Guard to become a rescue swimmer or the marines. I am 20 and am working on a double major in Finance and Marketing. I believe in hard work, determination, perserverance, and persistance with a never back down, never fail type attitude will get you far in life. I also like boxing and kick boxing. Welcome to the forums Adam. Never heard of the Genesis, but the 1st gen you plan sounds like a nice plan. There are members here who dont own Camaro's, so if anyone gives you a hard time just because of your status as an owner let me know and I will kill them.

 

rdots here and seems to like it so id have to go out on a limb say ull like it here. i do like my 93 but like u said the 1st gens have something about them that set them apart from the rest. keep your eyes open and your car will find u. lol welcome to the forum.

Hey Adam, welcome to the forum! I dig your plans for the first gen! LIke everyone else in here said, not everyone owns a Camaro! We all just have a passion for them, so we manage to get along! Any questions you have about Camaros are more than likely to be answered here!

Personally I'd choose the G8 GXP, but it doesn't exactly get the best fuel economy of the three! Get whatever makes the most sense to your driving style!

 

Hey Adam. Welcome from another new member, and I promise that I won't bash you. Anyone who has a passion for Camaros is all right with me. I like the sound of your plan for a 1st gen. One of my Camaros has a V8, and I love the sound of that baby when I start her up, or put my foot down on the gas! My other one has a V6 that drives almost as good as the 8, but I really miss the sound LOL

 

Welcome to the forum Adam, don't worry about anyone giving you crap about not having a camaro. We squash that stuff fast around here.
