New Guy from South Carolina

As of 6:30 pm tonight I will be the next owner of a 1992 RS 305. The car is in pretty decent shape and runs well. I just had a few q's about it.

I know there is 200K on the body and interior and the owner swears theres about 110K on used engine.

What are some things to do to get it up to date?

He has hardwired the cooling fans, how can I get it back to stock?

The front suspension has a metal to metal rattle going over rough surfaces, new shocks?
