What's up fellas. I'm Michael, 18, in California. I guess I'm relatively new to the Camaro scene, or the car scene in general for that matter. My '97 Camaro "RS" is the first car I've had in my name (for like 6 mos. now?) - before this I was driving one brother-in-law's durango and then the other brother-in-law's olds alero. I have the sneaking suspicion that I paid a pretty penny more for it than I should've - but my brother-in-law financed it for me, through a friend he had at a used car dealership, so I didn't really think to question the price ($9000). Anyway, Iloveit, and since working at a gas station doesn't mean you get a discount, and college students have naturally strapped budgets, I'm alright with the fact that it's a v6. It came with nothing, even had the stock radio, and off-brand pipes were rusted out. Well, here's the rundown of it now: flowmaster mufflers, american racing torque thrust ii rims, sumitomo tires... ordered some vinyl racing stripes to tack on it. Like half the money I've spent has been on audio stuff; two 12" subs, 2000 watt amp, pioneer deck, polk speakers. I'm hoping to beef up the performance with some cool mods and stuff eventually. It gives me little trouble, except for a tendency to take a little while longer than it should to turn over, but that's something i'll talk about in another thread... awesome site you guys have here, some pretty badasscars all around.

Welcome to the site, nice ride, yes a bit expensive but if you love it then that's all that matters and it was financed so it only killed you slowly. lol
