Hey I bought a 95 z28 lt1 460le automatic trans got a great deal on it $2200 the guy was a real old school cat has all the maintenance records on it until he bought a new lt1 for his son to have the car the were supposed bro build the motor together but didn't I guess so he said it was gonna need a tune up it has been sitting which I drove it fired right up but was just not breathing right so got plugs wires oil everything for a tune up on the way home did the time up kind of a difference got a flowmaster 40 series super crack back put on it still had no power like it should ordered a cold air intake made kind of a difference well I went through the wires again jist to check cylinders 4 and 6 were reversed so I changed them the power came I have had the maf off of to running it just off the cai but been doing research found out it's not that great to do the cats are also cut off I don't have emissions out here so here is my question I am getting the rebuild kit for the tranny tomorrow I have not had the car tuned yet but I am rebuilding the trans this weekend I need some tips to so without tuning it cause at the end of the month is street brawl at us 41 my good buddy of mine has a ls1 trans am done to the max well he just told me he is terminally ill I thought I would have until next year to do the motor to race home but I don't have time do I'm gonna put a new set of plugs in fresh oil change again flush it right before I race it but is there any tips I also can do besides that without getting into the motor to help the performance anything will help the race is sep. 30th so please answers asap thanka everyone advance

 

you can get a mail tune from Solomon LT1 PCM Tuning - Welcome! one of the better guys for lt1. a gear switch in the rear to 342 would do good without changing mpg to much.
