Default Won't take gas.

Hi everyone. I have a 1988 Camaro Iroc Z 305 TPI. Back in June I was driving it and took a sharp left hand turn and the car died on me. My husband came about 30 minutes later, started it up, drove it almost home and it died again at a red light, had it towed home, 3 miles, $65. We changed the fuel pump whole new assembly kit, distributor, rotary, electronic control module and the coil and putting a new fuel filter on today. Since we changed the whole assembly kit on the fuel tank it spits and sputters when you give it gas. You have to spray starting fluid in the intake to start it and it idles fine but as soon as you give it gas it will either die or starts spitting and sputtering. We heard a clicking in the new distributor today. Have tried everything and now we're lost. Any ideas or advice? I love this car and it is a 0 rust car, all numbers matching, factory car.. I don't want it sitting and I don't want to sell it. Help!!

101,000. There's a clicking in the distributor now. The new fuel filter helped some but it's still not straight.

Make sure you installed the right fuel pump. The TPI pump puts out about 43 psi at idle, and the TBI pump puts out about 14-15 psi.
If you accidentally installed a TBI pump, you'd definitely have fuel flow issues.

It is the correct fuel pump, it had to be special ordered. There is a clicking from the distributor cap. All that is new except plugs and wires which were changed a few months ago. We started it Wednesday and it ran like new but the next morning we came out and had to spray starter fluid in it before it would start.
