91 Auto trans, all gears are nuetral...help
91 RS,700-R4. I replaced the torque converter and the pump seals awhile back in my auto class(college). Drove it home(about 13miles) and everything was just fine other than the shift point from 1st to 2nd seemed to be longer than it should be. Later that day I took it up the road to see if it shift properly when punching the gas pedal. FRom a stop, I gunned it, I don't even think it shifted into 2nd, it just buried the RPM needle and stalled out. Quickly started it back up and it just coasted in drive as if it was in neutral. Luckily it was just up the road. Had to tow rope it back to the house. Now all gears are like Neutral, but when moving the shifter you can hear the slight change in the RPM's. I have no idea as to whats wrong with the transmission...Hopping you can point me in the right direction to fixing this problem.

I would suspect the last thing you did. Broken torque converter or bad shaft seal. In any event, it sounds like you should take the car back to school and redo the transmission.

rebuild...nothings wrong with the clutches, I'm not all that familliar with Auto tran's but I wanna what thing/things are the most likley to have broken. The torque converter was brand new when I left the auto shop, it doesn't leak fluid @ all.I droped the pan @ the time and fluid was just as red coming out as it was when I poured it in. So that means that nothing "major"has faild, right?[&:]
