Hi, Rechroming the bumpers on my 76 is there any special things I need to know to get a good job that I could tell the chromer? it is some thick alloy?
Also ive searched & seen the older posts (10yrs old) on trying to make the bumpers look nicer, has anyone got any new ideas or seen anything new. Ive removed the leaf springs & reset them in. I hate the rubber on them & Im in Australia so I don't really want to ship new rubber that I don't like anyway.

 

They are made of aluminum reinforced with steel .If you need more information just Google it.
