Default 69 Camaro Motor

Hi there I am brand new at this forum stuff and trying it out. I live in the Sacramento area of California and have a 69 Camaro. I just bought it about one month ago and realize it is a little too powerful for my wife and I. It came with a 502 Chevy big block with less than 5,000 miles on it. I would like to trade it out for a smaller 327 or something similar. If anyone is interested let me know. Thanks. VDW

welcome to the forum. we do not allow selling of things untill a member is here for a time and makes a few posts that qualify. it discorages the scammers. i would advise you read the rules. thanks. oh and just sell the 502 and throw a stock ls1 in it with od trans. get 350 hp and 25 mpg. i will move your thread to the intro section.

Too much noise ? possible....Too little Gas mileage ? For sure...Too Much horse power ???? Adjust the carb linkage or just keep your foot out of it...

But , for the Wife, i agree on an LS motor...Silent if you want, power, and MPG..

My Wife will not get near my Car , unless the engine is off.. I am running a Buffed 350 LT-1... If it had a 400HP LS, she would ride in it....

Welcome to the forum and you could just detune it a bit, would probably be cheaper than doing a engine swap also. Is it carb'd or FI?
