Default 2nd time F-Body owner

Stopping in to say wassup!

I've owned a 94 Firebird a few years back but, it wasn't to be as the engine went to a better place. Didn't have the cash at the time to drop a new motor in it so I had to scrap the body off.

Well, I bought a 94 Z-28 and am getting a crate motor put in. 5.7 liter L31 motor. I opted to go with a little less HP and a little more torque than the LT1 motor that was suppose to go in.

Welcome! Sometimes funds limit what we can do, vs. what we'd like to do. You can always start saving and build up the L31 later.

Tis true, though, I wanted to try a different route than the LT1 motor. :ideally, I want to drop in a LS1 but don't want to put in the time for that yet: so I went for a more torque based engine. Especially here in Florida, I wanted to see how well the higher torque would do with the constant stop and go traffic.

Sweet car in your Avie btw.

Really late on the reply, but I've been working mad hours lately.

I decided to keep and have the LT1 motor rebuilt, though, I still got to replace the water pump.
Here's the photos of it so far.
