2nd Gear Start Switch???

Hello

I have a 96' Camaro V6 3.8L A/T. Can somebody tell me what the 2nd gear start switch is for and when do I use it?

It will tell you in your owner's Manual. Its for slippery or wet weather conditions. Bypasses first gear, so it's a little less torquey. Allows better traction in a sense.
