Hey All.........Yep I had once owned a beautiful blue 68....But now I've gone and done it......I'm a proud owner of a 66 Nova....Tho I don't own the Camaro any longer..I still love the car and it's power...I I've decided to put a 327 out of a 68 into my Nova...Along with the engine..I'm also using the 4 speed saginaw...And the original B&M/Hurst shifter....Can't wait till I get the engine in. which will be real soon...I'm painting the compartment now..I Wow any beautiful Chevy classic or muscle no matter what the model.....The Engine I bought from my forman from the carpenters Union..It had been sitting for quit sometime....I bought it for $100...Great deal I thought....Well..As I went to change the timing chain..I found that she wouldn't turn over....So....Thanks to a 24" pipe wrench..I latched onto the crank gear and started to ..Well...Crank....She would budge.....I removed the spark plugs and began to work it back and forth....Till finally it would turn....THen.......S#%^ Rust out of the spark plug...#8 and #4.....Blown head gasket and with the engine sitting for so long....no doubt the cylinders were bad.....I went from adding a few parts and firing it up...To a complete rebuild............I've never rebuilt an engine in my 54 years......What better time to start....3 grand and a few months later I'm getting close...I could go on about rebuilding the motor but 99% of you already know what I'm learning.....Nova's are not like most Chevy's....Front sump oil pans....the block is different the nova had it's own block for the pivot ball bellcrank setup...anyway....I'm going to find it interesting posting on a Camaro site and Steve's Nova Site...Which you all might want to visit sometime...Great bunch of guy's and very knowledgable....Thanks for reading my very short intro...and I hope everyone here will be as helpful and Steve's............Thanks...Randy...
