Default 1990 camaro iroc dies possible ideas on a fix?

so my uncle drove down in his 1990 camaro iroc 305 tuned port fuel injection. After driving for a very long time at highway speed it stalls out and cannot restart it. Or if you drive it around for a bit then turn it off it will not restart. There seems to be bubbling in the fuel tank when you first turn on the key and the fuel pump cycles. I changed the inline fuel filter....nothing fixed. The car cranks strong when you try to start it after its been turned off... if you leave it sit long enough it starts up just fine. I was thinking maybe fuel tank pressure? or fuel pump error? but not sure has anyone else had this problem?

I had a 91 where the short rubber fuel pump to sending unit connector deteoriated and split open. Fuel pump was mostly cycling gas right up and out the split and into the tank again, and fuel pressure was waaaaaay low. If that happened here, that could explain the bubbling sound you hear. Attach a pressure gauge to the Schrader valve on the fuel rail. Turn the key on (don't start engine) to cycle the pump. You should have anywhere between 34-47 psi. After the pump cycles off, pressure should drop only a little but hold steady. Then start the engine. Pressure should be between 3-10 psi lower than the previous reading.
