Default Need a mechanic for 1990 IROC Z

I can't seem to find a specialist that knows anything about my car.
I need one in the Los Angeles, Pasadena area. If anyone knows of a place with a specialist please advise. Thank you!

Any good automotive repair shop should be able to work on your car. If you are seeking a "specialist," perhaps consider the dealer's service department... but, in all honesty, I'm not sure that a Camaro from 1990 requires a specialist. What exactly are you looking to have done?

The car stops irregularly and when I restart it...speed decreases and it feels like it
is going to stop again. The place I take it to has tried to work on the problem, but they are
apparently can not find the cause. I have gone there repeatedly, but still they can't solve the problem. The place is rated as a 5 star station with AAA approval, but I'm getting
frustrated taking it there, when I don't get results. My car is a 1990 IROC, but it only has 104 thousands miles on it. I called the dealer they do not work on older model cars...of course not
they want you to buy a new one.

Insufficient fuel supply is the first thing that comes to mind. Possibly a failing fuel pump or restricted fuel filter. The mechanic should check fuel pressure with the engine running to see if they are within specs, and after the engine is shut off to see how well pressure holds. These are basics to check that are not specific to your car.

How long and how much fuel pressure should the vehicle hold after turning it off?
