1968 & a Newbie looking for some help
First off Hello. Well a couple of firsts for me, first time posting and first 68 Camaro.
I recently was left this beautiful car by my step father John. He bought it about 6 years back but wasn't able to enjoy it as much as he would have liked because that was about the same time he started his 1st session of cancer treatment. Long and short he made it through that one, the second one, and we had high hopes of the 3rd session, but it was found to be much worse than originally diagnosed. To the 3rd time we lost him. John enjoyed cars like this in their time but never really was able to enjoy this the way he probably intended to. He really wasn't able to drive it that much during his treatments and recovery time so it sat in a garage slowly deteriorating.
Now that the Car is mine I would like to honor him and his intentions along with the car itself. The thing is beautiful but needs some love on the inside (mostly engine area).
Ive included some pics or at least a link... The areas of concern are the radiator, its fittings and their corrosion. The Master Cylinder and Brake Booster because of a pretty bad leak. Subsequently, everything under the master cylinder leak. Finally, the transmission and just general undercarriage leaks. I have more pics but mainly put in the ones of concern/interest.
The goal of this post is to see if any subject matter experts could lend advice to me as I restore, so as to not have to learn everything the hard way. Also to see if there are any additional problems that I don't know to look for yet.
There are a few smaller projects Id like to get into later on, like fixing the interior and dash parts but 1st the important stuff!
Thanks greatly in advance for any help!!! Im open to learn as much as I can so if there are any other things I should know now to preserve, upgrade, and restore I'd love to hear it.

Overall, a nice looking car. Most of the stuff you have going on there is minor. Some of the corrosion looks to be humidity based, because the car was sitting. A good wire brushing and painting of the master cylinder may do wonders. SSBC on the m.c. stands for Stainless Steel Brakes Corp. Same for the added adjustable proportioning valve below, which suggests the car may have been upgraded to disc brakes. Other minor oil buildup on the trans, etc. can be considered normal. Show me an engine/trans with no oil residue on it, and I'll show you an owner who wipes his entire car down after every ride.
Agree with Camaro69, humidity and other stuff - like weathering of old age?
WD40, elbow grease, and a towel works wonders in cleaning.
Due to the evidence shown about the radiator neck, I would replace the radiator cap having a rubber seal at the upper neck - metal-to-metal seals usually don't work very well unless both surfaces are parallel.
Is it a reflection or the coolant, or is there an oil slick on top of coolant?
Nice ride and correct year. Enjoy the ride.
