1967-1969 Camaro Performance & Customizing Ideas
My dad and I are completely restoring a 1968 camaro from sub frame up. We have already striped the front and interior completely down. We have gotten the sub frame sand blasted and painted black with self itching paint and it has been reinstalled on the car. We have painted the springs and A-frames black and installed them onto the car with new drums and brakes. That is were we are right now. I was wanting to dress up the fire wall, but not sure how. I have seen a type of insulation you can put on it to deaded sound, but I was wondering if someone sold a fitted sheet metal piece that can be painted to go on it. The motor that will be going in it will be a 350 which is what came out of it. I know there is plenty of things to do to it, but if anyone has found a cheap and good build for making a 350 scream please share. I would like to hear from any one with ideas for custimizing the car outside or inside and please send me pictures of you car and your unique customized look. Thanks.

Welcome aboard!
I recommend urethane bushings for the front A-arms if your rebuilding the front sub-frame (May be too late for me to mention) Also, I would ditch the drum brakes and install disk brakes - Many companies offer sound deadening materials - Eastwood offers several..
As for the screaming 350 - Maybe a 454 Xtreme Energy cam (CAM HELP™
800-999-0853) with a nice dual plane intake and about a 750 cfm carb.
Good Luck! and Keep us Posted!
