Default i need a good exhaust for a 99 camaro v6/performance parts ideas

hey guys i just bought a 99 camaro v6, i would really like a good sounding exhaust system on it. also any other things you could suggest me would be nice. i would like to make it fast for a v6 camaro, what do you guys suggest? if you're wondering why i got a v6 camaro it's because i had a 68 chevy c10 and it was extremely fast, problem was it sucked on gas like crazy so i sold it and i dont like to blend in so i got the camaro. this is my second car and it hurt me to sell my truck but this is my new baby.

Really no point to mod the v6 for performance. I would do catback and a cai and call it done!

As far as performance goes, do NOT expect to drive like a V8 would. Basic mods are just like any...CAI, headers, cat-back. You could forge the engine and put some type of boost in it as others have done. Port/polish heads, TB, a cam. Many on here will try to talk you into not modding the engine and to just stick with appareance items because you the V6's don't respond to mods like the V8s do. But do what you want. Check out the projects section. There are a few V6 projects in there. See what they've done and decide what you'd like to do.

This probably the most radical V6 build up I've seen on here.

You posted in the projects section, this area is for people doing large project and we follow along with their progress. You should post in either the 4th gen general or V6 drive train area. If you go under $th gen drivetrain and pick on the V6 sub folder you will see several "stickies" one of the is FAQ and How to guide. In that sticky is a link to where to start modding you 3800. If you want good information post in the V6 section cause the V8 guy will just tell you the V6 is not worth it.
