Default WOT not shifting

So i've seen this problem before on this forum and many others. Just to avoid the question I have a 1995 z28 4l60e trans my question is during my runs down the track car wants to stay in one gear i.e. does not shift at WOT. I've seen the mickey mouse fix by adjusting the shift cable but if your like me i like to do everything right the first time because i hate working for free. So what is the proper way to fix not shifting at WOT?

P.S. any info you have will help so post your personal experience and how you resolved it.

Yes, check the TPS, also check the adjustment of the shifter mechanism. As Craby stated, there is no TV cable, as the shifting is controlled by the PCM. If the TPS and shifter linkage are properly adjusted, then it would be a good idea to see if shift points were adjusted by improper reprogramming the PCM, or start looking at shift solenoids and valves, and clean fluid may help.

Default No shift

Same thing happened to me,no shifting at WOT only if releasing the throttle a bit.The way I fix it was changing the fuel pump, apparently was not giving me the full pressure at WOT and PCM was not `ordering`to shift.Hope it helps.
