Cool wirin harness

guys im having trouble with my lt1 engine installation i got a 95 z28 lt1 6 speed i blew the engine couple of weeks ago. I found a really good engine from a 95 trans am 40,000 miles i got everything except the ecu, the trans am used to be automatic and i was trying to use the same harnes but some of the connectors are different so i was wondering if i can use the same ecu for this harness my old one has a few connectors broken thats the reason im trying this one,

in my 93 book there are several different harnesses for my yr. im gonna say yes they are different, is there a reason u cant trade the connectors, if your interested most of em have a way to take the plug part away from the wires without harming them. many have a clip kind of thing on the metal end that goes into the plugin. just need a small screwdriver, like a sewing machine one, to get in there and push the metal clip away from the plastic so it will come out. u would need to diagram the connector and wires before taking it apart so u dont get the wires mixed up.

Question

well some connectors are different, the engine i bought came complete so my plan was to set it in the way it is but my old harness has another branch that goes inside the car im guessing another module or maybe to the cluster not really sure i havent had time to look in to it, on the other hand the new harness is missing that branch.

well auto trans is eletronic so lots of info goes to and from tha trans. the standard trans has the skip shift so i think the info goes a different direction. better stick with the original harness.
