Default window motor?

window goes down about 3 inches..then stops...wait 10 minutes and it will go down more...does the same when it goes up...is it the track or the motor?...shouldn't the motor just stop if it's going bad...i mean it's an electric..either it works or it doesn't right?

Right before the motors die, they start to get really slow. Both of mine in my '94 are getting ready to die.

There is a circuit breaker protecting the motor circuit. Either the motor is going bad or the window mechanisms are crusted up and hard to move. In ither case, the motor will draw too much current and trip the breker. Once the breaker cools off, power gets restored to the motor, and the cycle repeats. Regardless, you need to pull the door panel and inspect things. Check if the window works better when the door is open, adjustments may be off and the glass binding on the weather stripping.
