It could be a moisture build up issue. Do you do mostly short trip driving where the moisture doesn't get a good chance to cook out of the exhaust system?

^ What are you thinking, it's from salty ocean air? Is he near the coast perhaps, that could be it.

lmao im in colorado and instead of salt they put magchloride down on the ground for the ice

Heh, heh, I wasn't suggesting you had sea air in Colorado.
Sea water contains magnesium chloride, and sea air near the coast is corrosive. If he lives near the coast, that could be the source of his internal corrosion build up.

no I live near sacramento so neither of those apply. but yes almost all my driving is very short trips to work etc. under 10 mins.
