Default whats the difference

the 95 camaro lt1 makes 275 bhp and the 95 corvette lt1 makes 300 bhp, so whats the difference. is it the flow of the heads, or is it the cam, or what is it. im getting a new crate engine for my camaro and the corvette engine is only a couple hundred bucks more then the camaro, the corvette is 4 bolt main so thats a plus but im putting a cam in either engine so if its just the cam thats different then the camaro engine will be fine, but if the heads are ported different or flow better then thats the way ill go, any info will be great

Except for the 4 bolt main caps the engines are the same. The difference in power is due mostly in the better exhaust and intake systems used in the Corvette. When a factory publishes power ratings, they are based on engine dyno results with all the accessories, exhaust, and intake systems used with the engine as installed in a particular model car.

they say taking a camaro block (2 bolt mains) and splaying another 2, is stronger than the nonsplayed 4 bolts in corvettes
