Default What all needs to be Hooked Up to get my Hypertech off??

Hey guys I have a quick question for ya.. On my 94 Z28 I have a Hypertech Programmer Hooked up to it.. I pulled my stock motor for my 383 swap.. Its about end of the season where I live so im delaying the Insertion of My stroker untill summer.. That being said I tried to uninstall my Hypertech Programmer off of my car so I could sell it (getting it dyno tuned) and It says awaiting connection.. Theres no motor in the car at the moment so Im wondering If I could just Hook up a few simple things to uninstall it or do I have to have every plug in hooked up?? Thanks Hope someone Knows a little more about it then me!!

p.s. Trying to add pics to my garage to show everyone the build but it wont let my pics upload for some reason..

dont know anything about the programmer. so you cant just unplug it and put the wiring back where it belongs? pictures need to be sized at 640 or less on the big side.

Craby, the programmer needs to put the car back to factory specs, otherwise it won't work on another car.
First make sure you don't have any blown fuses, the ALDL plug gets power from the cigarette lighter/accessory circuit. I used to have one of those programmers with my old 96. Couldn't establish a link, so I called a Hypertech tech. He asked me what I was doing while trying to use it. "Just sitting in the car". The solution was...close the car door before hooking it up. The power draw from the interior lights being on was enough to mess it up. Don't know if any of that helps, hopefully it may.

I know this is probably a stupid suggestion, but with no motor, is your battery hooked up?

The only thing I could think of is maybe a plug that gets power to the comp is unplugged.

From my earlier post...."First make sure you don't have any blown fuses, the ALDL plug gets power from the cigarette lighter/accessory circuit."
So.....any blown fuses?

is the computer and ICU plugged in? I would imagine those 2 units would be the biggest things that the programer would need. Make sure you get the plugs in the passenger side kick pannel plugged in too since they provide power to the computer and, well the computer needs power. Give that a try.
