All fuses are good and the whole shutting the door thing diddent work either... yea there pluged in massey... idk what is up with it.. as much as I hate to I guess im going to have to call hypertech and listen to some chinease guy tell me I just need to buy a new one lol... I hate that....

 

Do you have a friend that maybe can let you use his can to plug the thing into and see if you can get it out that way?

 

Can? Did you mean car? You lost me there for a second.
The Hypertech is matched to the computer that you altered it with. It won't work on a different car until the computer you altered is set back to factory specs (a mode on the programmer). It's all knowing, all seeing, and it's Hypertech's way of preventing multiple users on one programmer. Is that what you were getting at?

 

Sort of, if you swap your computer into another car, then put your computer back to factory that way. The hypertech gets all its info. from the computer so I would think it should work.

 

i have a hypertech in my 94 and the unit says its for a 94-95 lt1 is there supposed to be a hand held programmer to go with it???i thought it was just a piggy back unit? and the 96 up obd2 used a handheld programmer that loads software on the computer.

 

Sounds like you may have one of those power tuning modules that plugs in-line to the computer?
The hand held "Power Programmer" is something different and unrelated to the module.

 

yeah Ive had it out before and it just plugs in. it says 94-95 lt1 only. so i don't know how he has a programmer for a 95 its pre obd2 and as far as i know obd1 was never available with more than a piggy back like mine from hyper tech so i thought i was missing something. Ive had obd2 hypertechs and they are like he described u up load.

is it something they started doing recently? i cant find the unit i have. they dont seem to sell it any place.
everyone always talks crap about hypertech, whats the deal?
