Here's what the blower looks like: http://www.jegs.com/i/Weiand/925/6543-1/10002/-1
But do they have one that works on the LT1? And in a 4th gen body, it's going to take a bit of cutting up of the cowl, in addition to other miscellaneous fabricating that'll be required.
Then you'll need to rebuild your engine, because the LT1 has too high of a compression. New forged low compression pistons are a must, and a better breathing cam, and...

here's a question

what is that you wish to accomplish? Now that doesn't mean....'hey, i want to install a supercharger"

I'm looking for an answer such as

I want a car that will run mid-high 11's and can still be driven on the street

or

I just want to be able to say I have xxxxx horsepower

or

I wanna blow my engine, or tranny as qucikly as possible

seriously, what are you looking to accomplish

maybe a supercharger isn't the only answer

and last but not least

A; do you already own an LT1 powered vehicle

if so, what mods have been done

B: how much money do you have readily available to spend?

then you don't yet own a vehicle for this "project" ?

next, you must define streetable

you can get to the 11's with drag radials, a new top end, that is CAI, cam, long tube headers and having the heads worked and you'll need a tune. If you can only drive a vehicle that has 2 pedals you'll need a different torque converter and will need to spring for a rebuild of the tranny once it grenades on you. You will be close to mid 11's but may need to get more radical with the cam. Or, you could start to shed weight. Do you really need the back seat, air conditioning and power steering? How do you feel about plastic racing seats instead of the comfy seats in the car? Shaving weight reduces the e.t.

I'm going to take a wild guess that you are under 25 years of age, maybe even under 21. Please try this experiment. Go to Home Depot and buy qty 2 flagstones. Go home and with a 12-14 ounce hammer, begin to hammer the stone with medium force. What happens? Next, go get a 2-3 pound mini sledge hammer and with the same force, hammer the stone. it broke didn't it?

as you add more power to an engine you begin to wield a sledge hammer and things that could withstand the 14 ounce hammer before, now begin to break. So, ask yourself what is your true budget for the project, you know, real dispensible cash on hand that you can commit.

to take a vehicle that ran low 14's to high 13's and shave off 2 1/2 seconds and keep it streetable, which means reliable, takes a lot of work, cash, and things will break along the journey.

yes i do own the car already...and no im not an idiot. I know that to add more power to something can harm it. and yes i know ill have to change parts to prepare the engine. but all im gonna say is, has this talk answered my 1st question? which no...it hasnt. so i really don't need a lesson on what i have to do to prepare to add more power.

kids...........

please go ask your dad to tell you the joke about the young bull and old bull standing on the hilltop looking down at the cows

there is a lesson to be learned in that story.

so, here is where we are

you asked a question about a S/C that is not designed for the LT1

you then didn't like that reply

you were then asked what is your objective because there may be an alternate method; again, you did not like that reply

so, your question has already been answered about installing a S/C that is not designed for this engine.

But, you then you get all flip.

Please go ask dad to tell you that story, and maybe just maybe, some of us who post here may have a weeeeeee bit of experience doing all these things that you think might be unique.

I wish you well

Ok, so i've kinda changed my mind. Ive decided just to get some elbelbrock heads and a cc306. and ive already got all the bolt ons. The 2 questions i have is will i need to change the stock timing chain set? and will i need to get a new torque converter for the cc306? cuz sadly yes i do have an automatic. I plan to swap it in the far future though for the t56 when i have a lot of time on my hands haha.
