Tuning opinions please.

I was told the best way to tune them is on the dyno. You get the best out put and the numbers to show for it. I have a friend that knows a guy that dyno tunes cars all my friends have had good resultes.

A closest dyno tune shop by me is 60 miles away and I'm not sure if I would want to drive that far untuned. And they also want $155/hour to dyno tune.
