Default Tuning opinions please.

Well after doing the cam swap to my car, I am looking to get it tuned. I am narrowed down to PCMforless and LT1PCMtuning. The thing I like about PCMforless is they will tune it to my specs and I can buy a PCM from them to just have them ship it to me for $315.

LT1PCMtuning will allow me to tune my own PCM and learn how to do it, which I've always wanted to do. He has the one option where you rent the kit from him and he helps you via email with the tuning, but that costs a little over $500 initially. $400 of that is refundable for renting his equipment, but I don't have that much to spend up front. He also has another option where he helps with the tuning via email, but I need to buy the OBD2 cable and TunerCat software.

I'm confused on what I should do, so I am asking for some opinions from people who have worked with both PCMforless and LT1PCMtuning to help me make a choice. Thanks.

There are other tuning options.
LT1 PCM Tuning - Welcome!
I went with Solomon. I chose the e-mail option.
You will need a ALDL cable. Remeber to get the correct one for your vehicle.
I am pleased with my tune.

I also use Solomon (LT1pcmtuning.com)

It ends up costing you about $100 including the cost of the cable

Well it looks like I'm going with Solomon. Should be cool to learn how to tune. And one question, after a cam swap, is it bad to drive without a tune? Or will it just run a little lean and in open loop? Not sure how much harm it could do. Untuned, it actually runs pretty good.

There is potential for harm to come to your engine, without a tune. I would not drive it long without a tune.
With a tune, all the factors that need to addressed will be factored in and optimum fuel and timing tables will be loaded into your car's computer. That is why Solomon asks all the questions that he does when you request a tune.

I got 30# injectors. I didn't check fuel pressure, but the fuel system is stock except for injectors. Stock compression. And I just changed the plugs as well.

The larger flow injectors will need to be compensated for. Your stock injectors would probably have been good for headers and CAI and a mild cam. MIne were.
