Default tune up info

Hey guys I looked around and can't find anything that shows tune up info for a 95 lt1 6-speed. I'm looking for plugs/wires, coil, general stuff like that. The techs around here say you have to take off manifolds and waterpumps to do it which sounds like complete b.s., so if you guys know where to get the info.

thanks

Default RE: tune up info

When I changed the plugs in my 93 Z28, it took about 8 hours for 4 plugs. You can change the plugs and wires without removing that stuff it just takes a while. When you remove that stuff, you need gaskets to replace the parts. I suggest taking extra time. It helps to jack the car up, because only some of the plugs can be reached from the top. I would not change the coil, normally not part of a tune up. It either works or not. The plugs are double platinum which means they are good for 100K miles. If the car does not miss, amd it has less than 100K miles I would not bother with replacing them. You may want to change the fuel filter too. Not changing that every 30K-40K miles can cause premature fuel pump failure. The cap and rotor on those cars are made with that opti spark, it can be bought but it is $100+ for them.
