Trouble

My lt1 is idling up and down with nothing steady about it. Could it just be the spark plugs? I dont know any history on the engine

first good step is to have it scanned for trouble codes. what yr car?

My initial thoughts would be the IAC or the TPS. If you have any codes, like Craby suggested, you should get them scanned.

And there can be codes stored without the SES light being on.

has the SES light come on ever before? like when this first started happening? even if your SES light came on and turned off, your computer will store that code and you will be able to see any codes u have thrown
