Question Transmission Woes could be the Cat?

Hey Guys, my 95 Z28 is acting like it has transmission problems and is making a vibration between 1st and 2nd gears. It definitely feels like it is slipping when you step on the gas hard. A friend suggested that a plugged catalytic converter may be the problem and causes the vibrations and transmission problems. Anyone ever heard of this? I am not aware of this....please help.

The cat has nothing to do with the transmission. Your transmission needs help.

Unless you have a real cat wedged up above the torque converter? But the cat converter wouldn't be causing transmission slippage problems!

Default cat problem

The same was happening to my 94 z28 I thought the trans was gone. I took it to the shop and my cat was just eaten up I got the cat removed. since then I have noticed a huge difference in power and in the way my car rides. just take the cat out of the pipe it sounds a hole lot nicer.
