Hey i have a 96 z28 6 speed and i was wondering if anyone knew what the best thing to put into it was. One of my friends said to put heavy weight gear oil into it but the manual for the car says it takes ATF so i figured i would ask before ruined a gearbox. Anyways if you guys prefer a particular brand your input would be greatly appreiciated

 

says in my book for a 93 to use dextron II gm p/n 1051855 in the 5 and 6 speed. last time i had a manual trans it took 80 w gear oil but i guess times change. that was in my 66 gmc.
