Default Tough Throttle?

Okay, so let me give you a little background to this before I ask the question. Yesterday, I spent the better part of the day flushing my coolant system (and boy did it need it) to get it ready for the winter. Anyways, I noticed when I was backing it out of the garage that it took a lot more pressure to get the throttle to go down and get the car moving. I'm wondering if maybe a cable is stuck somewhere.

Honestly, it's not really a big deal because it seems like the car has a lot more power now from it. I mean, I went down the highway later that night going 45mph and floored it, and it spun tires for a quick moment....something it never did before. I just don't want to think it's not a problem....and then have it ruin something later on. Any ideas? Or should I just not worry?

Oddly sometimes doing a much needed job, or just doing this and that to the car for fun can have the weirdest effect with the pedals. I probably wouldnt worry about it if i were you. We will let the Turd Rustangs do all the worrying should one pull up next to you at the light. LOL

Haha. As much as I would love to race a Mustang who thinks he's all **** with a V6 (most around where I live are mid 90s to early 2000 V6's), I can't afford another ticket. The cops around here aren't too strict, mainly because most race themselves and we no longer have drag races at the airport, but they let me slide once with $110 fine, I don't see it happening twice. Haha.

Haha. I wasn't able to get away (my friend however did, but came back) and pulled into the local Mcdonalds (right after the HS football game let out too). But after we got our tickets and everything the second cops came up to me, pointed at the Camaro and asked, "That Camaro yours?" I nodded and he replied, "How the hell did you almost lose to that Escort?" They understood we were just goofing off and having fun. Ha.

I will check the cables. I just don't see how that could effect it since I haven't messed with cables in a while. But like I said, it runs fine still...just harder to push and feels like more power than before.

your car will feel more powerful as it gets colder outside

Not this much power though. I mean it's been colder lately..but today it was a good 65 and it feels like it's got more power than a few nights ago when I took my friend and some girls for a spin in 30 degree weather and it felt like it was lagging a bit. I mean seriously, my friends Jetta felt like it had more power than the Camaro.

Checked the cables and they are fine. Just for S&G's I left the plastic cover off and what do you know! No more tough throttle! But, it feels "light" now. No winning, ever.
