Hey guys, ever since i bought my 96 RS it has had tough steering. I realize that cause i have big tires on it its going to be tough to steer but, im a strong guy and I have to really wrench on it to get intoa parking spot. Its not bad on the highway or while driving but otherwise its a real B*tch. i replaced the power steering pump and the power steering fluid. I also replaced the rack and pinning on it by some sheer luck that could be the case. $300 some dollars later i found out it wasn't and the thing is still tough to steer. Has anyone had this problem before or does anyone know what else i could possibly do to ease it up a bit?

 

Do you hear the power steering pump whine when you turn the wheel? How long ago did you replace the pump?

 

i replaced it last spring. right now i got it stored away but i need to think about fixing it a couple weeks before im planning on gettin it out again.
