Don't get paranoid. With old oil comes viscosity breakdown. It's not uncommon for new oil to give you a little higher reading than the old bad oil did.

Thanks for the advice osduck5 and Camaro 69. That makes me feel better. Now all I have to do is check the differential fluid.

By the way osduck5 I like your story about putting 5 qtz in while on the phone and the oil coming out...Haha....Sounds like something I might do when my mind starts to wonder.....I Made extra sure that the drain plug was in before I put the oil in !

Oil change.. Jack, drain, remove filter.. fill new filter up with oil, make sure new oil filter rubber seal is wet with fresh oil, put new filter on, replace drain plug, fill with oil.. done. takes 10-15 minutes..
I see what you mean now.. my bad.

I always wanted to try Royal Purple I would also like to hear reviews on it.

Some people say oil is oil... others say ...it isn't

here is an example..... Say you have four different protein powders. Product A, B, C, and D. Even though each product has a different name, they could all have contracts with the same company that produce the protein powder. So in theory, if product A cost 5 dollars more than product C, B, or D, you are paying 5 dollars more for the exact same product.
