Default Throttle Body and SLP CAI issues

So I was going to install my decorative throttle body plate and my SLP CAI intake. Should be a 15-minute job, right? Wrong

First issue: I removed the stock throttle body plate, and figured we would just go get another gasket at AutoZone, but they didn't have it. So when I figured screw it and put the old one back on, it had somehow stretched itself over the course of four hours. It's now way too large to fit over the opening, so now I definitely need a new one. I found these real quick:

Camaro Corvette TPI LT1 Throttle Body Gasket Kit | eBay

LT1 Throttle Body Plate*GASKET>Firebird,Camaro,Corvette | eBay

Which one should I use?

Second: I bought a throttle body airfoil, but that install isn't seeming very easy either. If you look at the picture, I'm holding the airfoil in place where it's supposed to be:

First of all, there's a bolt that came with it, and there's a hole where the bolt is supposed to go, but there's no hole in the throttle body to bolt the airfoil to. How does it go in? Also, when the airfoil is in place, air is no longer allowed to go into the top portion of the throttle body, where there's a vent hose that goes to the passenger-side valve cover. Will it make any difference if that's covered up?

My next issue came when I was trying to install my SLP Cold Air Intake. What do you guys use to connect the MAF housing to the tubes? the diameter of the housing is smaller than the diameter of the rest of the intake.

Answers to any of these questions ASAP would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

either gasket kit will work. the first one has a gasket for the top and bottom plates. second only has the upper gasket. i havent used one of the airfoils so im not real sure how they hookup. i used aluminum elbow.

I just bought a gasket for cheaper from Lingenfelter. I figured out that I was missing the nut that holds the airfoil in place, but I called the company who makes the kit and they're sending me a new one. And I think I've got the CAI thing figured out.

The air foil will have little effect due to the mismatch to the throttle bore.

right this is a maf

the airfoil in spartans pic are pretty good and can give gains. it does however cover the air intake for the iac. spartan, i havent seen one hooked up, is there enough room in back to allow some air to get in there. my elbow has a foil in it but theres a gap between it and the tb. let us know how it works out.

Well I have it installed now, here's a pic of it:

The small triangular portion on the bottom (which was covered by my finger in the pic in the OP) is where the air is allowed to enter. I have yet to hear of any issues with these things related to the IAC

ahhh ok yah couldnt see that hole. more than enough. i can see how it would help the airflow. supposed to get a gain from it, let us know if you can tell any difference.
