t56/ diff WHINE
guys,
just replaced the rear trans seal and the bearings/seal on the pinion in the diff.
since the replacement i have had a LOUD whine coming from the drive shaft area I cant really determine which it is coming from. but it only whines when in gear (implying trans) and when im maintaining speed. if i accelerate, or decelerate the sound is gone.
any ideas?
also having a popping sound under hard acceleration (i think the trans mount went) and the grinding sound that i used to have when releasing the clutch is back... Please help? any ideas?

Did you just do it, or did you have it done? When the bearings are replaced, you need to reset the gear lash, pinion depth, etc. If that wasn't done, then the whine is coming from the rear gears, and it'll need to be redone the right way before they get destroyed.
