How hard and what do i need to know to swap my lt1 out for a ls1. I will miss the lt1 but i think i have cracked the block or the head I have a guy who will sale me his 50k ls1 with the 6 speed if i want. I think i want to keep my auto trans so will it bolt up to the ls1 its the stock 94 z28 trans Please let me know thanks

 

If you have a '94 your best bet is to get a full doner LS1 car. You're going to have to swap out the motor, K-member, electronics and other various parts. If you want to keep your auto I believe the input shaft as well as the bell housing are different. You would also have to get the PCM programmed for the auto transmission since it tells it when to shift.
