you don't press a button in a wet system, usually it only sprays under WOT...and a 100 shot would be more than safe on a stock bottom end LT1.

here are some more definite numbers to expect to spend on stuff

headers and Y-pipe- 550
catback- 400-1000
cold air intake- 250
cam- 300
rockers- 300
spring kit- 200
pushrods-100

you can get a used cat back system that is fine for under 300
headers for a decent pair run in the low to mid 400s...

basically if hes got 3k and wants to go fast hes not gonna spend buku amounts of money on the basics!
maudy seems to have it a little closer money wise

 

if you want painted headers that will rust in a week, sure, 250 is about right
if you want a used exhaust system, sure, you can get it cheaper.

look up new prices on those things and i guarantee i'm in the ballpark

he obviously doesnt want to buy expensive start up stuff that is a must so hes not gonna buy a 1300 doller borla or corsa cat back nor a edelbrock or hooker set of headers...

the dude obviously wants quick horse power at a cheap price which is never a good combo.

those headers you posted are 520 bucks! how was i not close? and it doesn't come with a y-pipe which i included in my price!

that flowmaster price is at the very bottom of the price range i said? so idk where i'm stiff on that?

my pacesetter headers that are coated were like 580 shipped to my door with the y-pipe
i don't have a cold air intake as i have ram air

OP, you don't want to skimp on items you put on your. always make sure your headers are coated so they don't rust as quick, if ever.

catbacks- borla or corsa>magnaflow>flowmaster

intakes are all really the same thing
