Default supercharger anyone??

anyone in here boosted? i'm thinking of building up my block and intake for a supercharger. increase my block compression a lil with just about 4-6 psi of boost. i'll pull the heads and check out my cylinder walls at the beginning of the year. just curious to see if anyone has done what i'm planning....

If you going to build for a supercharger, do it right to get the most out of it. Forged internals, trimetal bearings, hold compression below 8:1, beef up fuel delivery, blower grind cam, long tube headers, good aluminum heads with heavy deck to prevent cracks, free flow intake, intercooled supercharger pushing 15 to 20lb boost, water alchool injection to prevent detonation. Get computer tuned properly.

Spending money on a supercharger for no more than 4-6lbs of boost is a total waste of money. You'll pick up about 60 hp for $3600.

Get a rebuild with forged internals, and keep the compression ratio at around 8.3:1 and you'll be good to go. Then, you could safely go with about 10-12lbs of boost, and don't forget the intercooler.
